Everyone who knew her loved Laura Hunt.
So when she was found murdered by a shotgun blast to the face, all were profoundly shocked and saddened. Who could have done it? Was it Shelby her fiancé who was playing around with another woman or Waldo, her long-time patron and mentor who was jealous of Shelby? And has Detective Mark McPherson fallen in love with a dead woman whom he knows only through her portrait?
Who was Laura? What mystique drew men to her like moths to a flame? And why did someone want to murder her?
Mark McPherson, played by Hugh McCullogh, slowly and inexorably unravels the mystery of Laura’s death, bringing each of the suspects under uncompromising scrutiny. Will Jenkins is the bombastic Waldo Lydecker, Laura’s mentor and oldest friend, and Lucas Tennant is Shelby Carpenter, her fiancé. Norma Cummings is the faithful cook/housekeeper and Nelson McCullogh is Danny, the love-smitten teen from upstairs (Also Olsen, a police officer) Joanna McAuley plays Danny’s disapproving mother, and Annette Huton makes a surprise appearance as "the girl".
